Time, Place and Language
Nov 2 (Sat) 9:00-10:30, Room 10, English
Moderator and Instructors
Moderator :
Suraphong Lorsomradee (Chiang Mai University, Thailand)
Instructors :
DaeKee Choi (University of Ulsan, Korea)
Description
This hemodynamic simulation-based interactive workshop aims to share with everyone the current concept and controversy in advanced hemodynamic monitoring for perioperative fluid optimization. This edutainment workshop will make the reality of the patients undergoing moderate to high risk surgery require high fidelity and more reliable parameter to guide fluid responsiveness, in easy way from macro to microcirculation. The simplified and practical workshop will also focus on how to re-check for the data reliability and looking for the preventable pitfalls before doing goal-directed fluid therapy, including the tips and tricks of using perioperative surgical stimuli and patient positioning together with the balanced anesthesia for better fluid optimization. The simulation and discussion will go through the inotropic support, vasoconstrictor, crystalloid, colloid, blood product, and various medication. At the end of the workshop, attendance will be able to make their own PGDFT protocol that will be appropriated to their clinical setting.
Time Table
9:00 – 9:15 A practical approach to applying perioperative goal directed fluid therapy
9:15 – 10:00 Case simulation and case discussion
10:00 – 10:20 PGDFT protocol making and hands-on: Pulse contour, Volume Clamp, etc.
