- Description
- Point of care (POC) coagulation tests of hemostasis in whole blood allow measurement of global clot formation and dissolution in real time. Use of POC coagulation tests in transfusion algorithms allows goal directed hemostatic therapy to take place with administration of non-erythrocyte blood products administered to address specific deficiencies. In this workshop, you will experience the real and simulation cases of perioperative coagulopathy, and will perform the therapeutic intervention based on the result of the point-of–care coagulation test.
